LG 34UM58-P Monitor

Hi

I'm about to build my own gaming pc for flight simulator (X-Plane 11)

My components are:

Case; Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX tempered glass

CPU: Intel Core I7 7700K

GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080ti

MoBo: Asus Prime Z270A

RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengeance LED white

CPU cooler: Corsair H115i

PSU: Corsair RM750X

Storage: 2x Samsung 850 EVO 250gb in RAID 0 and 2x 2tb WD black in RAID 1

 

Is the LG 34UM58-P Monitor good for gaming? I'm just playing X-Plane 11 and some other similar games.

Does anyone have experience with it and otherwise is there any other 34 inch monitor in the same price category?

While it would be good for gaming the 2560x1080p resolution sweet spot is 29 inch, if you want a higher panel you should consider 1440p

It's fine for gaming, however 34 inches diagonal is much too big for a 2560x1080 image. It's more appropriate for 3440x1440. 

 

I recommend the same monitor I have, which is the LG 29UM67-P. It's ultra cheap nowadays, and the panel quality is phenomenal for the price.

Thanks, the 29 inch monitor is about the same price like the 34 inch. I'm probably taking the 34 inch.

Nope. Not even the cheapest Korean lottery monitors are that low.

 

Prices bottom out at ~600-700 USD for that resolution. Name brand monitors at $800+.

It's fine, but the pixel count does not change with that monitor compared to its 29 inch counterpart. The image might appear more grainy and pixelated.

No I don't. I'm on my phone atm, otherwise I would look around a bit.
