Build and upgrade later?

my parents need a pc (they work with it and it's getting really old and slow) and i´m planning on giving them my laptop that i´m using right now so i guess i'll start building with the pentium

Should i build a pc with a pentium g4560 and later (when i have money) upgrade to other kaby lake processor or just wait?

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
