gaming sound cards Gaming Sound Card?

Hey!

Before im going through all topics without an search option, i ask right here in a new one.

Which Sound Card would be good for some Gaming, listening to musik and having overall good sound?

I need something that isn't that overkill and expensive. Something around $60 to $120. 

Or is the Asus Z270-A Prime good enough for good sound? I really don't know.

Give me every tip you know. I want them!  

 

(Ah and by the way, sorry if my english is not the yellow from the egg. I come from germany)

The onboard is good enough. If you're going to upgrade sound, you'd probably be wanting to go for an external DAC and AMP.

just use onboard audio, only case iv needed to use a separate card has been when the onboard has been busted or iv needed more outputs

Generally you only need some type of extra sound card if the headphones you have or want to buy are more difficult to drive properly, or if there is a loud noise floor (like hearing a static type noise even though nothing is playing).

On board is pretty good currently. I would get a dac rather than a sound card but even then it probably won't make any noticable difference in games.

Oh okay.. I thought a sound card would matter a bit more than onboard sound.

I guess im going for the Hyper X Cloud 2 Headset.

I really liked your profile pic, and yes onboard or even your graphics card sound chip if you use HDMI/DP is good enough, focus the money on a sweet headset and you're set, audio pci-e cards are more of a music studio kind of rig [:
