Yeah, not overclocking. So a non-K will get the job done. Will look into the 7700. Couples of reviews I seen that the stock thermal paste is usually not the best, and recommended to get a thermal paste even if you get a stock, how true is that?

-snip-

Do you do a lot of gaming while streaming? If it's just streaming you should be fine but if you're trying to do quite a few things at once you might want to take a look at an older 5930k, or a 6800k. They usually handle such things a little easier. There's also the new Ryzen processors, however right now motherboard selection is a little lacking.

As for the thermal paste, I've used Intels stock stuff on non-overclocked builds with absolutely no issue.

Whatever's cheapest in the color you want tbh. There isn't really a huge difference in RAM.

This set's quite a bit cheaper.

Very, very few things come on CD these days. You'll buy most of it online. I actually can't think of a single thing that I needed a DVD drive for in my last build.

There should be. If you're paying for shipping on Amazon, it's coming from a third party, not Amazon itself and you should probably look elsewhere.

The mouse and keyboard are something you'll interact with through every contact with the computer. It's kind of foolish to get something lower quality when it's going to see so much use. There are loads of great options that don't have RGB, but I wouldn't buy a combo kit, that's for sure. Few are good values.

Hello,

I am currently in the process of setting up a build goal, so I have a clear focus on how much to save up etc.

This PC what I will be using it for is :

- Possilbility for VR painting/3D

- Digital Painting

- Gaming (Games like Black Desert Online on the best possible settings)

- 3D

- Streaming

- Recording

Those are the things I will specifically be focusing on. The budget is 1750$. I already have speakers and headphones, so no need for those. I made a list of the parts

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/L8xND8

Everything needs to be specifically purchased from Amazon. Would love some insights if the build is on the right track.

Thank You!

That's one expensive 1080p display! Get a  1440p display, pretty sure you can find them near that price.

Also get a Z170 board if you want to overlook the CPU.

Hmmm.

  • You have a lot of fans added, they're unnecessary.
  • You have a K processor with an H series motherboard. Either:
    1. Get a Z series motherboard for overclocking.
    2. Get a 6700/7700 to save some money if not overclocking.
  • Why didn't you go for the 7700k?
  • You don't need thermal paste, some is included with the cooler.
  • Do you really need an optical drive?
  • You should get an SSD, a PC with an HDD only these days is sad.
  • The RAM you chose is unnecessarily expensive.
  • Why are you ordering so much from Amazon and still paying shipping? If shipping's not free look elsewhere.
  • All that money on a system, and you go cheap on the peripherals?

Welcome to the forum!

@Ultra_Man52 @Castdeath97

Ah. Wait. No, not planning to overclock.

@Castdeath97

The key reason for the Dell Ultrasharp, which I always wanted to get is the crisp and close identical colors representation for creative work purposes.

@dizmo

As for the RAM's, what other ones you recommend? From what I seen the ones that I selected is DDR4.

As for Optical Drive, just looking for a basic DVD-R Drive to install things that still comes with CD.

As for the shipping costs, not sure if there is an option to change the ship price to free, however all the time we purchase from Amazon its always free shipping, so will keep an eye out on that for the individual items when we purchase it.

For Keyboard and Mouse I am not looking for a really over the hill keyboard, just a tool that gets the job done that is not too loud, but just quiet.

No need to get a 6700K and have a non overclocking, or even 270 series anything, motherboard. You can buy windows from G2A or Kinguin or Reddit for around $30. Might want a better monitor. You only have a hard drive, no SSD?

i got my 6700k on a h170 lol, but only because i got the board on a sale for like 28 bucks
