Can a UPS damage the PC?

Pkai

Hey guys, sometimes in my country we face some power outage so i just want to get a UPS in order to shutdown the Pc safely when any outage occurs. My concern is that is it possible for a cheap UPS to damage the PC's hardware ? Thank you in advance.

How cheap are we talking? Something that costs $1 and is from China will probably blow up, while spending a bit more will probably be good enough.

Any time a component is electrically connected to something else, there's a possibility that a failure of said component could destroy or damage the device that's connected to it.

Generally speaking no, but if it is complete and utter garbage it may cause damage in other ways, specifically to your power supply. I wouldn't cheap out too much on a UPS, after all it's supposed to be a hardware safety barrier for your pc and you would want it to be as reliable as possible. Get something with a good warranty and you should be fine.

A UPS is supposed to save your data and hardware but I guess a UPS made out of shitty components or has a shitty battery then it's possible for it to damage your PC? :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Wow... that site has 0 information about the product. From what I found however it seems to come with a 1 year warranty, which is passable. It should be fine.
