10 gigabit Storage Build Components?

Hey guys i want to build a nas that is capable of 10ge speeds... Wht cpu should I use!? Will an i3 be enough to handle the bandwidh of 10ge network cards?

The only job the CPU has in a NAS is to handle requests. A dinky Atom processor can handle this for a home network. Also unless you're piling a 24-disk SSD array or something equally crazy and everyone's trying to hammer it, 10GbE is overkill for a home network.

 

(of course, I'm just assuming this is for a home network)
