Best Anti Virus / Anti Malware?

I always use to use windows defender but i decided to use Malware Bytes and it detected 500 threats where Windows Defender detected nothing so i decided i need a better anti virus. Should i stick with malware bytes or get something else?

There is no "better" anti-virus software. If you really think you need a resource-clogging software that blinks in your tray, just stick with the Windows Defender, it does not decrease your performance too much.

Note that MalwareBytes has a different purpose, it also detects "potentially unwanted software", not just malware.

Write in C.

I would go for Avast but because it uses a lot from your system I would just go for Windows Defender and use Malwarebytes when needed.

Windows Defender is actually fine as an anti-malware.

Or

  • Avast (Free or Paid) - both are great
  • Malwarebytes - it's free and well known in the tech world. Known to do its job excellently.
  • Emsisoft - less "known" but I used it on a trial basis not long ago and I actually really liked it.

I try to stay away from any of the big brands like AGV etc. They're resource heavy and have started to be like damn adware.

Bullguard is a great one i've been using that for years. But if you're after a free soluton i would suggest avira or malware bytes.
