no i was going to use remote desktop access, will that work?

It will not work. You would need to have windows server datacenter I think in order to get multiple sessions at once.

you can just use a windows 7, 8, 10 computer and install rdpwrapper. it will give you windows server rdp capabilities on a regular windows install
