Nobody is hyped, since it's nothing new, just a really expensive cut down chip on a 1/2 year old architecture (which is just a 3yr old architecture on 16nm).

But if it's GP100, i'm hyped.

No because everyone knows when the 1170 comes it will beat it like the 1070 beat the 980Ti.

The 1070 has 2GB more VRAM and can reach considerably higher clock speeds (2GHz+) which a 980Ti could only dream of unless LN2 was used.

higher clockspeed doesnt allways translate to higher fps. and that is ultimately what counts in a gpu.

according to multiple reviews i read the 980ti trumps in gaming performance. GPUboss underlines that. do the comparison yourself.

Nothing is guaranteed.  The 1070 slightly outperformed the 980ti.  But my 780ti still trounced the 970 when it came out.  Just because a thing happened before does not mean it will happen again.  Wait for benchmarks.

Totally not hyped.

I was super hyped to upgrade my old gpu :) I assume your reason is the same.

1080ti has been expected for a long time. Its long overdue.  Pascal line is gong to be 1 year old soon and soon replaced by Volta.

If anything I am dissapointed Nvidia took this long to release it :D

in that article you can clearly see that gaming is better on a 980ti. exactly what i stated.

That's reference versus reference, if you get a AIB 1070 then that's a different story.

I am interested in the potential/probable 1080 TI launch but I would not exactly say I am pumped. Basically, I haven't decided if I want one.
