PC lagging when GPU mining

Venoox

When I mine bitcoin with my GPU, my computer becomes unresponsive, mouse is lagging, everything is lagging, cant even browse on the internet normally, its like unusable. I think think this is not normal because I saw other people mining and using PC just fine. What could be wrong? I'm mining with lyra2v2 on GTX 1070.

When a GPU is busy it uses the PCIE lanes to communicate with the CPU, which uses the CPU resources. If you really want to waste your electricity on GPU mining, get another computer to do it. It's not worth it now, and you're better off using your GPU for a better cause like Protein folding. If you want more info, the forum has a board dedicated to it.

Really bad mh/w, you'll earn literally nothing while chewing up more power than the actual earnings and stressing the shit out of your new card

idk

because its usually not even economical. the cost of electricity usually out ways the money earned unless you have a gpu thats good for mining.

Not mining Bitcoin with anything. It's not worth it anymore unless you have thousands of dollars to invest into custom mining hardware.

idk

No, they're worthless at the moment. There are too many for any one of them to be viable. Wait for them to be mainstream (like walmart accepting bitcoin) to do anything.

You can join Team EVGA and earn $10 a month with F@H if you make 4 million points a month or $5 for 2 million points. http://www.evga.com/folding/MyFolding.asp

Keep in mind you will only get those points with a somehow new GPU. Cpu folding doesnt give many points.

Me too. Will do the 4 million points fast. Expect 600.000-700.000 points a day.

I already have $110 through this EVGA promotion on my account.
