Nothing left to upgrade

SoloRaptonic

Hey guys, I'm kind of in a first world issue. My only hobby is my PC. I don't find enjoyment in anything else really. I currently have a core i5 6500 with a GTX 1070 and 16 GB of RAM. Hyper 212 Evo and a nice case. 2.75 TB or storage, and 3 monitors. 1 144hz and 2 60hz monitors. I have money burning a hole in my pocket and I can't think of anything else to add. I have LED's and a nice keyboard/mouse. I don't need an SSD cuz it boots in 7 seconds. I'm at a loss. It sounds preppy I'm just curious on thoughts

Use the PC as a safe and store your money in there.

SSD isn't about boot times, I don't know why everyone is telling that as a main reason to get an SDD. It's all about general system stability, responsiveness and usability.

Maybe try another hobby? Have you ever tried RC cars or drones? Those are pretty fun. Or maybe take up painting. I really enjoyed watercolors when I was in high school.

Or drugs. There are always drugs.

Drones could be cool.  I've thought about trying to get into that myself.

Say no to drugs though.  ?

I suggest maybe upgrading your CPU.  The 6500 isn't bad I think but if you have a 1070 you could get an equally high performing CPU like a 6700K.

You could also swap your CPU cooler for a better one like a Cryorig H7.  Those are great and better than a 212 EVO I'm pretty sure.

An SSD would be a nice upgrade even if you think you don't need it.

There's always RGB led strips you could get for your case.  I've used cablemod's magnetic RGB led strips in a build for a friend and they're really nice.  Or I hear NZXT's Hue+ is very good too.

Yes, it is. And I bundle that with boot time. Overall my system is snappy enough with just a 7200 rpm WD blue HDD

The i5 in my personal experience shows no real bottleneck for my card. I have tested both and do not see a reason to hash out the price for an i7 for an extra 4 frames. And because I'm not overclocking there's no need for a water cooler. That just adds another fail point. My temps on CPU as is is 25c on idle and 45-55 under full load. I have it all in an Nzxt s340 elite with red cable mod wide beam led
