7700k VS Ryzen userbenchmark

7700k VS ryzen 1700x

Relevent ? -25% single core performance on the ryzen, will that affect gaming a lot you guys think ?

that's at 3.4ghz on the 1700x though. I'm curious how both the 7700k and the 1700x will overclock. will it still be 25% if the 1700x is at 4.5 ghz and the 7700k is at 4.8 ghz for a 300 mhz difference instead of the 800 mhz difference from that benchmark?

YEah turbo disabled true.. but the turbo is only 300 mhz right ?

Anyway, yeah would be intersting to see the same benchmark with both ryzen and intel clocked @ 4.5 ghz

I know but it still information  I bet even with turbo on ryzen would still be like -10% or -15% single core performance

Ummm, considering that to achieve a 5,15GHz OC they needed to use a bit over 1.8V on a 1800X means that in my estimates Ryzen 8 core chips should overclock to around 4,3GHz on air and around 4,6GHz with a 240/280mm AIO on average, of course this depends on the silicon lottery.

 

I could be wrong though, those are just assumptions based on the OC under LN2 that set the world Cinebench R15 multithreaded record with 2449 points I believe.

Yes and you are in my opinion a bit generous there, i would say 4.1 on air and 4.3 4.4 on water

 

Fun to speculate can';t wait to see actual real results

It gives an average of all the cpu tested, and the benchmark is not the best, of course, but it does give a good idea, if you check a 7700k vs a 6700k per example, you see that results are quite acurate to be honest, go check any comparison and its rare you see something that makes no sense
