This is my motherboard http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H81M-HDS/ I want to add USB 3.1 but I only have PCI-E 2.0 x1 availible. I have seen cards for  PCI-E 2.0 x1 but they can only achieve 5Gbps which is same as USB 3.0. So is there even point of upgrade. The main reason I want to do that is because I recently bought USB 3.1 128GB flash drive. Thanks.

I think you should have a look at the product literature:

High-speed USB 3.1

High-speed USB 3.1 performance of up to 150MB/s1 means you spend less time waiting to transfer your photos, videos, songs, and other files between devices.

Meaning it's pointless to get USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds anyway.

On Sandisk's website it says that it only reads at 150MBps which is roughly 1200mbits per second which doesn't even max out the USB 3.0 bandwidth anyway
