Look for 2.1 Speakers ~150-300€

ZeanLee

Hey !

I'm looking for some 2.1 speakers for music and some gaming.

I have an Soundblaster soundcard x-FI thats was worth 100€ when it was new but I got it used for 30€ and forgot the name and I can't see anything on the card. It uses 3,5mm jacks.

What do you guys recommend?

Thanks

Why Should I get 2.0?

Why is everyone recommending sp2500 but one doesn't? Reviews are looking good?

Can recommand something else to compare both? Im not really into the audio stuff...

Thanks :)

Only difference is that the one guy is an audio guy.

A2+ from Audioengine and get a sub later. Grab a PSW10 from Polk for your better blaster.

Find some site like Newegg, or even some actual/more "pro" audio website then find something in your price range and read reviews about it on the internet. Then pick the ones that you think looks the best for the price :) The Corsair SP 2500's should be good from what I hear, though I have never used them myself.

My Gaming PC: i5 2500k @ 4.6 GHz, ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3 Motherboard, Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler, Corsair XMS3 8 GB 1333MHz RAM (2x4), MSI R7870 Twin Frozr 2GD5 @ 1050-1100 MHz (Twin Frozr 3), Intel 330 Series SSD 120 GB, Seagate Barracuda 2 TB HDD, Corsair Carbide 500r Case, FSP Aurum Series Gold 700w PSU.

Keyboard: Corsair K90, Mouse: Corsair M60, Mousemat: Razer Vespula, Headset: SteelSeries 5Hv3, Monitor: ASUS VG248QE.

The Corsair's are good if you don't want to spend a lot of time trying to find good speakers and don't care about the best bang for your buck.

Check around on eBay in your country/neighboring countries for active bookshelf speakers - you can add an active subwoofer later if you want. Used just means "on sale" :)
