Posted February 20, 2017 Hello, I want to set up my first own little server. My motherboard is a dual Xeon platform and has a 12 pin psu connector. My question now is : which psu should I buy? I maybe want in the future to get a gpu also to set this thing up to a dual Xeon PC. Are there any cases u can suggest ? I have no high demands. Posted February 20, 2017 Have you used PC part picker? As long as you get a PSU with all the correct connectors and meet your wattage requirements comfortably, it would be hard to go wrong. Although I would stick to something in the 700+ watt range to be safe. Also be sure to get one that's well rated and from a reputable company. Posted February 20, 2017 Author Right , I forgot to mention the motherboard: I want to go on low price so I want to get a Intel s500VSA lga771. And yes I know these socket is obviously not up to date, but I don't have much money to spend.
 It looks like you will be looking at a case that supports EATX. as long as you can find that, you should be fine. but i dont have a particular case in mind.
