RAM for day to day use, GPU for games

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

i don't play many super demanding games (mostly CS:GO and GTA V)

I do a lot of things like music production, video editing and often find myself having ten thousand applications open at once so ill probably upgrade my ram.

yah then get more capacety and faster RAM. 1333MHz is pretty slow

my i5 4670 only supports up to 1333mhz, and my SSD makes up for the slow ram anyway, thanks for your feedback.

an SSD dosent make up for slow RAM, sure it helps but it dosent just fix it. also the speed your CPU supports its useless seeing as its the motherboard that decides what you can run. id slap some 1600MHz sticks in there

but then id have to get rid of my old kit and buy twice as much ram unless i can mix my 1333mhz ram with some 1600mhz???

Well, what about not spending money on getting more performance?

What about spending it on little improvements for daily use? Noise dampening, good/silent fans and a fan controller. (if your mobo doesn't have)

And whatever you upgrade first, replace that intel stock cooler. You won't miss the beautiful sound of a jet engine during gaming. Believe me.

GPU. GPU for sure. I'd go with the RX 470 or the GTX 1050, or if you want a step up from that the RX 480 and the GTX 1060.

those are barely an upgrade.

yah but DDR3 is pretty cheap. if you are willing to  go used you could get 16GB 1600MHz for about $20 from what iv seen.
