Anyone here that has a 4k 60fps monitor and a DVI to HDMI?

Abdullahseba

Hi

I want to run 3 4k monitors off a gtx 1050 but it has HDMI, DP and DVI.

So if anyone has a DVI to HDMI adapter could they see if you can get 4k 60 fps out of it please?

A bit ironic that the GTX 750 TI has more outputs than the 1050....

The GTX 750 TI can run 4k 30 FPS out of DVI on my PC but it doesn't have HDMI 2.0 so no 60fps.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

you cant get 4k 60hz out of dvi, dual link dvi can to 2560x1600 60 fps max I think.

Your display port 1.4 connector should be able to power 2 monitors though (I think),

with the correct adapter.

I do not believe DVI Dual-link is fast enough for 4Kp60.

well I'm getting 4k 30fps out of DVI on on my 750 which is the highest supported on the card.

Don't forget DVI is a mixtrue of vga and HDMI.

Makes sense, thats about the same bitrate.

Seems like the 1050 only has display port 1.2 though (display port 1.3 and 1.4 ready, maybe a displayport 1.3 or 1.4 hub will come out soon?), so that can only power 1 4k 60hz display.

So you cant do 3x 4k 60hz with that card atm.

well It has HDMI 2.0 which supports 4k 60fps and DVI is what I'm wandering about.

My monitor has DP and HDMI both supported at 60fps.

To be fair, they probably didn't think that someone would be spending the money on 3 4k monitors and so little on their graphics card. There are 1050Ti models that have all the outputs you would have needed for not a great deal more.

I don't think you'll find a fix to your issue without perhaps getting the appropriate card.

well the 1050TI's I saw had only three outputs including DVI.

I don't need a high end GPU as I don't do gaming.

My 750 TI handles it fine but 30fps is crappy.

If you could point me to 1050TI's with no DVI or more outputs that would be grate.

I didn't say you needed a high end GPU, I said the appropriate GPU.

Gigabyte actually makes 2 models of 1050Ti, and even 2 models of 1050 that have the outputs you need.
