will the new upcoming LGA2066 supporting chipsets be PCI-E2066

Go to solution Solved by KenjiUmino,

x99 should support PCIe 3.0 as well - at least thats what it says in the description of the asus x99 deluxe II for example .. four PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, one 2.0 x16 and a 2.0 x1

I was considering building a new x99 pc when i saw that it uses the 2nd generetion of PCI-E lanes,

then i saw an article about intel and there new upcoming LGA2066 socket, so i was wondering if the new chipset that will use the new LGA2066 socket will support the 3rd generetion of PCI-E.

I aint found someone that knew about it so I came to the linustechtips forums to see if some knows about it.

If you know something about it please respone to this, it will be very appreciated.
