I'ill the second option 7500 is more than capable.

Although u may just wait for zen on next march

Indeed new cpu are incoming particularly ryzen

If it lives up to the hype, then a similarly priced (similar to i5 7500 since all ryzen are unlocked :) ) would do.

Thanks for your opinions !

As said above, Ryzen comes out in a couple weeks. Prices should stabilise by the end of the summer.

However if you can stretch to $770, you can pick up a 6600k, a z170 board, a gammaxx 400, zotac 1070 AMP!, and S12G 550W.

idk

if im going for the unlocked cpu (i5 7600K) then yes, although I would adjust the OC to medium OC.

Wait for Ryzen to release and drop in price. (my friend bought the 1060 when it was 450 CAD)

Indeed i would wait and possible even change the cpu if ryzen would be a better buy. Im seriously hoping for that price drop though haha!

I’d go with the better CPU, i have a RX480 4GB with a FX6300 at 4.3Ghz and 1080p at high is smooth for me, but the CPU is the definitive bottleneck.

But like everyone else... wait for RYZEN

Not 100% for the board to work, and H60 is a horrible cooler - just sayin'

can't really stretch it above ~700.

so I was really thinking hard on the possible combinations.

Really hoping cpu prices lowers with the introduction of ryzen

May I ask why zotac? stores nearby retails my suggested msi 1070 at similar price (about 400  usd + tax).

I really chose the msi one for the looks and factory-oc. Price-wise, just about 10-15 usd difference with other aftermarket 1070.

I don't recommend any AIO with a radiator smaller than 240mm. You might as well go with a decent air cooler.

CPU: i7 4790k @ 4.7 GHz

GPU: XFX GTS RX580 4GB

Cooling: Corsair h100i

Mobo: Asus z97-A

RAM: 4x8 GB 1600 MHz Corsair Vengence

PSU: Corsair HX850

Case: NZXT S340 Elite Tempered glass edition

Display: LG 29UM68-P

Keyboard: Roccat Ryos MK FX RGB

Mouse: Logitech g900 Chaos Spectrum

Headphones: Sennheiser HD6XX

OS: Windows 10 Home

Overclocks like a beast, good power delivery, good cooling system. I've heard good things about it from @rn8686 who owns one

Get the 6600k build, its so much easier to replace a graphics card than a motherboard and CPU in the future. And the RX480 will get 80-90+FPS on ultra 1080p right now in most titles

Personal build >  New-ish AMD main gaming setup

PLEASE QUOTE OR @ ME FOR A RESPONSE xD

Once you got at least a modern i5, spending any more on the CPU won't net you perf gains compared to a better graphics card. Given those two builds, the i5+1070 will obviously perform better.

However you should wait to see what Ryzen offers as they are all unlocked for overclocking. The accompanying AM4 mobos are also comparatively cheaper than Z170/270 chipset models.

Thanks for the kind reminder mate!
