Hey guys,

Am interested in a new laptop for university to complement my PC as a portable machine (using it mainly for MS office, web browsing, NETFLIX and the Wan Show. My two options are the Razer Blade Stealth the QHD which retails for around $1500 AUD (IF I CAN FIND THEM IN STOCK ANYWHERE, P.S DOES ANYONE KNOW WHEN RAZER RESTOCKS THEIR BLADE STELTH'S, i am in Australia) and the Microsoft surface 4 with i5/4gb.

Sorry if this has been posted somewhere else but I couldnt find a relevant thread.

Thanks

Neither - buy a Lenovo X1 Carbon when it goes on sale. Surface Pro 4 is the most unstable device I've ever owned, and Razer Blade Stealth makes you look like a faggot and thermal throttles hard as hell.

idk

Whats so unstable about the SP4

Doesn't actually resume from sleep when the lid opens, SD card slot doesn't work on my friend's machines but mine does, keyboard disconnects for no reason, trackpad sucks bad.

i would do research on if it does have Wide Spread problems before just taking one persons Advice that they have problems not a large enough sample size. also wouldnt take advice from someone that told you in the same post not to buy your other option because youll look like  a Fgt. Seems insanely bias and over opinionated.

IMO   maybe check out the XPS 13 its size to bezel is awesome smallest 13" laptop due to this, asus sells many nice thin and light ultrabooks for decent prices. i personally would recommend  a real keyboard if you plan to type a lot on it surface is okay on a desk but using it in some places can be awkward.  Also with most of these ultrabook 15 watt or 5watt core processors the I3,I5 & I7 differences are not as big as the price or branding may make them see all are dual core

Just look up 'Surface Pro 4 wake from sleep issue' and you'll see people with similar issues.

It's for university. If I was 14, I'd buy a Razer Blade. Why? Because y'know, it's matte black, and with that EDGY green logo and the super cool keyboard that lights up! But he's going to university. You need a machine that performs like a beast, runs for a while, is light, and looks like something you'd take around for university.

Good recommendations as well, but eh.. X1 Carbon is light, has an insanely nice keyboard that kinda feels like low profile MX Browns with the tactile bump, and is literally a tank. Not as heavy as a tank, but built like one. 1.18kg. When it goes on sale it's often cheaper than the base XPS13 in AU, since they overcharge for it.

idk
