Hey, I believe that I am experiencing a bottleneck with my system but I can't find out where. I just ran tests and I found while running a game my GPU hits 100% whereas the CPU only hits around 80%. My specs are AMD A10 7800 CPU AMD R9 360 OEM GPU as well as 8 GB of Ram. Also, if there are any upgrades that i could do that remain fairly inexpensive (200 CAD max 150 USD), that would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Wow, people seem really paranoid about bottlenecks these days. If your GPU is at 100%, you're fine. The CPU usage should generally be lower than the GPU

You'll probably run into an actual bottleneck with anything more powerful, but the RX 470 is awesome at the moment, otherwise maybe a GTX 1050Ti. Keep in mind that a bottleneck is likely to lose you maybe 2fps, or give you an occasional stutter. It won't suddenly destroy your gaming experience.

None, you're about where you want to be. Improve the graphics card and you'll want to improve the CPU.

Still worth doing the GPU, then saving for a new CPU.

Technically your bottleneck would be your GPU. It's maxed, thus it can't go any faster.

I wouldn't bother with any kind of upgrade until you do the whole system.

It's a pre built. So that would mean new motherboard, so a better power supply, etc.

Best to use it and build from scratch when they save up to in my opinion. Nothing gained by treating a pre built like DIY.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

I swear I see about 25 threads a day with people freaking out that a bottleneck is going to come and eat their parents or something. I ran for ages with an FX 8320 bottlenecking me in GTA, and it just gave a little fps dip (about 10fps) in heavily busy areas.

Haha yeah I know. Bottlenecks aren't super bad unless you're pairing a Titan X with a low level Pentium.

But, they hear the words, and have to go around spouting incorrect information and such. :P

Is there any way I can improve my performance of my PC besides overclocking?

Nope. Overclock as much as you can. Then either upgrade the CPU+GPU, or go with a new GPU as suggested and save until Ryzen appears then you'll have lot's of choice.

Bro, enjoy it.

Prebuilts are not meant for heavy overclocking. The parts aren't built for it and the case doesn't have the airflow to compensate for the extra heat.

Start saving and build a PC this time.

When is Ryzen gonna appear.

In about 2 weeks. Without getting on the hype train, it looks promising and even if it turns out to suck (which will be lame) you'll at least have all the options in front of you.
