Hi, so I'm buying a pc for work, and I found this used pc on Kijiji.

I was just wondering, if that is a good deal or not? (Assuming everything works)

Pricing of the PC on pcpartpicker is over $2200 (if you includes tax) and not including the gpu since its too old and he is selling it for $1200

I don't really care about the gpu since I don't play video games at all, but I do need one to power my 4k monitor.

I was just wondering what is the performance of the 5830k is like compared to 6700k and 7700k

I mainly use Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom to edit videos.

Also, another side question, would it be able to handle 4k editing?

I'd think so. I'm not Canadian, but looking at your list, it seems like a great deal. The 5930K is slightly weaker per core than the  6700k/7700k but it has more cores. I think it'll do better for video editing than either of those actually.

Go for it.

Premiere Pro can do 4K editing on nearly any modern Intel i7 machine. I've done it on 3-year-old iMacs (without 4K monitors, but with 4K video) and on my 2 year old. 3000x2000 Surface Book.

I have a 4K dual-monitor display at work and edit 4K with Premiere Pro all day on it.

BTW: Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro can all make good use of your video cards for rendering, transcoding, etc.
