''Panasonic’s giant 4K tablet goes on sale in January for an eye-popping $5,999''

TopWargamer

http://mobile.theverge.com/2013/11/8/5080136/panasonic-4k-toughpad-tablet-specifications-price-release-date

For the $5,999 price you’ll get the impressive 4K 20-inch display with an Intel i5 processor clocked at 1.9GHz, 256GB of SSD storage, and 8GB of RAM. The Toughpad also includes a USB 3.0 port, SD card slot, and built-in smart card reader. What you won’t get is good battery life. Panasonic estimates just two hours of use for this 20-inch tablet, the price you pay for a 4K display in a tablet form factor.

The future is...very short...

Still cool to see that device manufacturers are coming out with more 4K devices. Now make 4K monitors affordable.

What size? nevermind 20" inch tablets are probably for workstations....maybe? At least they're not those 55"in tablets featured in that fox channel I mean overkill 1080p 55inches of stupidity

just 2 hours of battery life really...

The technology running 4K isn't perfected however what can you expect if a 1080p resolution was running it last maybe 6-7 hours give or take.

4K monitors and Tvs sound more interesting then tablets at this moment. How big is the battery u_u

It shows the tablet being used at a construction site. I honestly wouldn't have it anywhere near that especially if costed me $6,000. Haha

It's probably used for blueprint. Which explains the large size and the high res.

Numbers don't go high enough to accurately explain exactly how many f**ks I don't give about tablets.

Talk about useless innovations... This is more like technology moving backwards. This is an all in one Pc with a battery and a really high res screen that no one would use in that form factor... 4K belong on a tv or a monitor not a tablet... Maybe one day but not now...

So about a dollar for every column of pixel and then $2000 for the rest of the components?
