i recommend a msi gt stealth vr  1060 edition or a dell Inspiron 1050ti.

msi is out of my price range, so dell is it then. Is it worth getting one with 8G of flash storage?

try to get an ssd, best idea is to buy your own ssd and memory after you buy the laptop.

The GL62M and Inspiron 7567 both use very low quality displays. They're the kind where black is gray and the picture looks washed-out. Not all TN-type displays are bad, but these days most of the good quality laptop displays are the IPS ones. I would skip those two models, as IMO the difference between a good display, and a not-so-good one is one of the most noticeable things.

This Acer Aspire VX 15 gets you both a good display and a GTX 1050 at the same time: https://www.amazon.ca/Acer-NH-GM2AA-001-VX5-591G-5652-Notebook-Windows/dp/B01N11JKA3/

Or this one for a GTX 1050 Ti for $100CAD more: https://www.amazon.ca/Acer-NH-GM4AA-004-VX5-591G-54VG-i5-7300HQ-Bilingual/dp/B01MR82G0W/

They should be available for order soon.

Looks good, but would i be missing out without an i7? Really love look of that one best.

the GPU will be the bottleneck 99.9% of the time. An i5-7300HQ is just fine to be paired alongside a GTX 1050 or Ti, that you won't really notice a difference by going for an i7-7700HQ instead. It's also still a quad-core, not a dual-core. It's still faster than, for example, and i7-7500U.

I think you'll get your best experience from prioritizing a good GPU and a good display.
