So I just got my 7700k in the mail and quickly downloaded the bios update for my motherboard riiiight here. More specifically the version 904 as was recommended recommended by an asus representative for Kaby Lake CPUs. BIOS flash went through without any problems and I quickly switched my old CPU to the 7700k and found myself with a PC that turns on its fans but not monitor, mouse and keyboard. Tried taking the 7700k out and in couple times but nothing. The old i5-6400 lets me boot up just fine without any problems as soon as I switched it back.

Any ideas besides bad BIOS firmware on Asus' side? I've obviously tried everything in sticky.

Here's basics for my hardware from Speccy

My PSU is some stock 500W Bronze Antec, I know it's a bit on the lower wattage side but I did try to boot both CPUs without GPU to test if it was about that... Obviously only one of them worked.

Did you flash version 0401, or 0904? Only 0401 supports Kaby

i would try the 0401 and 0201 BIOSes seeing as they say "for Kabylake"

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Have you tried the 0201 BIOS version since that isn't a beta BIOS.

Unfortunately both of them claim to not be a proper BIOS file. I will try to downgrade to 701 what I was originally on and see if it will recognize them then.

EDIT: Yep, that did not help at all. Managed downgrade but still "Not proper BIOS" for 401 and 201.
