Remember its down to features and not textures, the cryengine is used with crysis with 4k textures, gears of war(the newest one) has 480p textures.

are there any games coming out that use this engine? inb4 crysis 3

Crytek don´t really intend for their engines to be used in many games. So far only one or two actually...

They use them as a mean to say: "You see this? It will make your engine in 5 years look like shit  B) " :)

i have used both Cryengine and the Unreal engine, overall the Unreal engine is easier to use and gives better visuals faster, but overall the Cryengine gives allot better visuals but require allot more work to get there.

but the image that you posted is 2 different render types.

the Cryengine image is using Subsurface Scattering and the unreal engine is not.

however both engines can use Suburface scattering. and a better example would of been Samaritan or Infiltrator:

Samaritan: (Unreal Engine 3)

Infiltrator: (Unreal Engine 4)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bLOi3mo9NE

Both are rendered in real time (On stupid OTT Systems)

any idea with one will use the new "Mirror's Edge" and if they will get rid of that PhysX crap ?

Mirror's Edge should have Mantle support also! Man, I can really see Mantle taking off. Remember PhysX doesn't do anything special, OpenCL can do everything it can. CryTek's R&D director, Michael Glueck, said 'This [a low level API like Mantle] will not only improve performance, but it will also allow better use of the available hardware features.'

I'm excited.

Yeah but the game looks fantastic. I wish they had more than 1 GoW title for the PC :(
