Origin BF4 Installation Stuck at 20%

Go to solution Solved by Kilerbomb,

First, copy and move the BF4 files to a new location outside of Origin.

Uninstall DirectX and Battlefield 4 (it will be installed in the Add or Remove Programs).

Move the BF4 files back to the Origin location you copied them from. Uninstalling causes Origin to delete them all. You don't want to redownload it.

Re-install BF4 which will install DirectX with it.

That should fix it. That's what I did and I had the exact same problem.

DirectX doesn't seem to show up anywhere in the Add/Remove programs tool. :/

Sorry for the double post, but the thread wouldn't get bumped otherwise.

EDIT: I tried installing once more, it froze at 20% again so then I closed out the installation process, and for some reason it works now, I can launch the game. Weird.

My BF4 installation has been stuck at 20% for like an hour now... it's obviously not getting anywhere. Yet somehow it's still bombarding my hard drive. Does anyone know a fix?

It seems Origin is trying to install DirectX, but it's obviously not getting anywhere. I mainly just want to know how I can get it to keep progressing the installation.

Any idea of how to free up my HDD? I stopped all the installations and yet my machine is still chugging along extremely slowly since my HDD is still being maxed out. I'd rather not have to restart.

EDIT: Found out PB was still trying to install and ended it.

EDIT 2: Dear lord, copying 25GB worth of files takes forever.
