Best Budget Ultrabook with powerful Specs?

Ideapad 510s:

Specs:

Intel i7-7500U

8gb ddr4

256ssd

AMD Radeon M430 2G

2.5 kg

Price: 1056USD

I was looking for a 13" laptop that was thin, around 1000USD and had decent specs and came across this and was shocked. Apparently, most regions only offer the same CPU but integrated GPU. Is this worth buying? I was comparing this with the Razer blade stealth (i7-6500U) and xps 13 (i7-7200U). So far only problem is the mushy keyboard and flimsy chasis. Does this seem too good to be true??

Btw, first time posting on this forum, tell me if I'm doing anything wrong. Thanks!!

thats a good CPU for a laptop. it is not flimsy, I just read a review and the inside/keyboard is aluminium, outside is plastic

The HD 4600 is faster than both. Without VRAM, of course.

idk

This is a fine laptop. It doesn't really have powerful specs. In fact I would say the dGPU is bad in this instance. The HD620 is good already, so the dGPU is literally sitting there adding cost.

What you should be getting is the last gen XPS13 with i7-6560U

They all cost about 1000usd right now. And the integrated GPU on the i7-6560U is good enough. Just need some hard undervolting as Skylake is overvolted as hell and it'll perform good for light games.

Right, so you think that if I was comparing between the Asus UX330, razer blade switch i7, xps 13 i7 and this. I should get the xps, due to its superior battery life? Cause you see I have a 1000USD budget, and I'm looking for lightweight and battery life and some light games.

And you're saying that a dGPU is so shit that a internal gpu is just as good?

The XPS13 he linked has Iris graphics, which is quit a bit better than the normal intel HD. You should never ever go with a Blade, they all thermal throttle and have so many QC issues. The UX330 is a core m laptop, which is even less powerful than the ULV you see in a XPS 13.

And yes that is basically what he is saying.

I think that the XPS 13's pendragon linked are the best options you have right now. They are nicely build, okay keyboard, good battery life and a better iGPU than your normal ultrabook.

ty for understanding

@roshho if you want thin and light those are your best options. the hd 540 is good enough for light games. FAR BETTER than the M430. Alternatively, there is a really good Lenovo 510s with a i7-6567U. It has a HD 550. Best iGPU to date. But that laptop is HELLA hard to find. the HD 550 and HD 540 only has like a 3-5% difference though. So the last gen XPS13 with HD540 is good enough.

Tell me about it. They finally made a iris laptop that is actually really good for the price, and then they make it super hard to find.
