Hello,

I have been trying to forward a number of ports on my router but i am unable to successfully to get any of them open :(

I have this exact router... https://www.amazon.com/UTT-AC650W-Wireless-Antennas-Parental/dp/B00O1TVF6Y

I have had my ports forwarded once before a year ago but now im unable to get any progress here, is there anything i could be doing wrong?

Im connected straight to the router with ethernet and my PC is on a static IP of 192.168.1.10

im running out of ideas on what i could do....

You connected ethernet to your router?

ISPs do not run ethernet cable to people's houses.

They run coaxial cable or phone lines.

That means there is a modem that connects to the phone/cable line and then converts that to ethernet before it goes to your router.

All the places in between your PC and the internet need to be port forwarded, that includes the modem.

The easiest way is to not use routers and connect the PC directly to the modem so you only have to port forward the modem.

i should have said im wired directly to my router and my router connected to my cable modem which is a Zoom Model 5341J.

Im unable to just use my modem by itself as that would only allow my PC to be connected online. I'll need the wifi to connect others laptops and roku boxes and ps4's.

That would be the case if he had a modem router combo. I looked his modem up, its just a standard cable modem. My friend has serious issues with port forwarding on his Comcast modem/router. Some Routers firmware just sucks.

Have you tried rebooting the router? My router requires a reboot after any changes. Also, have you tried updating the firmware? It could be a bug.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

i have the latest firmware yes.

I was able to allow "remote access" feature enabled through port 8081 on my router and able to login through "myipaddress":8081

so that one port is forwarded i think, but i cant utilize that one port for anything but logging into my router.

and i just did a power cycle through everything, no luck.
