Upgrade paths

Here are my current specs

i7 3770K

H61 OEM crap mobo (Z77 deluxe died on me :'( )

16GB ddr3 (mixed sppeds 4x4)

2x2tb (WD black + barracuda)

Adata 256 Gb ssd(boot drive) + 512 Gb 850evo (hasn't arrived yet)

gtx 1070 Amp

M12ii 750W 

 

Should i upgrade now (zen) or wait another year (zen+/coffee lake)

Reasons to upgrade :

1)Got into Animation (still on 2d)

2)College projects (AutoCAD , Eagle , Blender)

3)New YT channel (Filmora and Krita)

3770k is still a pretty good cpu. I'm planning on getting another year out of mine

get few more years, hope ryzen kicks ass so intel has to start working again.

Your cpu won't handle much more than a gtx 1080 even if you overclock. It might bottleneck a gtx 1080 just a bit, but I would not expect it to pair well with a titan XP or better (ie future GPUs that might outperform the titan XP).
