Yeah that looks good, EVGA is pretty decent and at least their RMA process is really good. Plus it's a good price.

Just go for the 4GB, you'll be unlikely to go over that even at 1440p. My 470 is 8GB, and only fills up when I'm modelling/rendering. Otherwise it just doesn't happen, you're more likely to run out of GPU power than memory.

So, i ordered an EXP GDC v8.0 and i want to connect it via msata.

I have lenovo y580 running i7-3610qm, GTX 660m, and 8gb ram.

My Questions are: 

What would be less bottleneck?

What card? (NVIDIA 1050 Ti , 1060 3gb or AMD rx470, rx480 4gb / else ) ( +/- 250$ budget)

Would i be able to use internal and external display at the same time? (browsing on internal and gaming on external)

Which card is more futureproof? (some time i will put it in a normal pc)

 

 

When stuff arrives i could show my results, benchmarks etc.

The 480 would be your best bet here. I'm not sure 100% how well the EXP GDC works but it would outperform anything else on the list. 

You should not bottleneck because you have 4 cores.

At that pricepoint I'd say a 1060 is probably better, with the 480 as a close second. Depends on what sort of features you're looking for (NVIDIA has a lot of stuff like GameStream and ShadowPlay).

I would pick the RX470 because most models only require 1 8pin connector, instead of 2 on the RX480. It might be hard to find apower supply with 3 8pin connectors if you have a total budget of 250$. 

 

The GTX 1050 TI doesnt require any external power connectors, but it gets beaten very badly by everything else listed. 

 

You shoudn't worry about bottlenecks if you have an i7.

wattage =/= connectors. which power supply are you buying?

yes but you won't need it. that is for switching between GPUs in you laptop

tldr, optimus is the technology that is used to power internal screen via a discrete gpu and it works with nvidia

Edit: if u want internal screen to be powered by gpu**

You can run the external screen off the eGPU, then leave the internal screen running off the 660m. You should try and game across two screens anyway, and they'll both work in this config.

With that said, I'd suggest the 480, it just beats everything else listed and should last reasonably well for 1440p uses, and super well for 1080p.

Yeah nah that one seems dodgy, you want at least 80+ Bronze, so you have some idea of the wattage it can actually produce. Plus I'm getting bad vibes from all the Polish being thrown around, plus the fact most online places selling it seem... iffy.
