DELL P2717H Debezel questions.

LLOYD-AF

Hey people,

So I just bought 3 screens (DELL P2717H) and while I'm happy with the bezels I would be willing to take them off if it improves the experience. I've seen a few videos showing how it's done with other monitors but none for this model. Does anyone know someone that's done it or have a link for a video / guide?

The only thing stopping me from just having a go to see is I've heard on some monitors the bezel actually keeps the screen in place so removing it permanently is not possible.

Also how much improvement could be gained with this model? So say the gap is 1 inch with both bezel edges, would it go down enough to be worth it.

Another important factor is I have them all mounted on a stand via vesa, would that still be possible with the bezels removed with this model.

Thanks for any help :)

Can you elaborate?

remove the metal bezel that holds the glass panes. cant you take those off and make it LITERALLY bezel-less?

Unfortunately, no. The LCD has stuff on the edges, and thats where the backlight lives. It could be possible to make it a couple mm thinner, but not worth it imo
