Possible to switch to iPhone 4 on iOS 7.1.2 from Android?

I recently acquired an iPhone 4 that I would like to try out using as my daily device. I want to know if there is any way to transfer certain text message and WhatsApp threads over from my Galaxy S3 over to the iPhone 4. I've done some research and it seems it's not easy to do and I'm not willing to shell out 30 or so bucks for an shady application from a random developer. Thought I would ask here for a proper semi-professional opinion.

On whatsapp you cannot

I don't know about transferring stuff, but the iPhone 4 is VERY slow a lot of the time when on iOS 7.1.2 Just a heads up.

It's been quite responsive so far after a restore. I don't do any gaming on my device. I mostly just use it for music, viewing emails, calling, and basic messaging during my commute. Don't even have data on my plan hahaha.

i presume that android uses the google drive account where as the ios uses icloud

Is there no way to move files from one to the other? Even via OSX or something? That just seems like a limitation that doesn't need to exist yet still does on both sides.

Oh, OK. I do the same things on mine, and it is slower than my iPhone 3GS at times.
