Hello, I am just looking for people to take a quick survey about the number of TVs in their home. Please include your name (First and Last) and the number of TVs you have. Thanks everyone!

It's for an algebra 1 math project. The name is only to show that I did survey different people and will not be used for anything but to show the teacher that I did the assignment. You can make up a name if you want, as long as it sounds legit:)

I understand that your teacher wants to make sure you don't make up results, but you should never have "Name" be a mandatory part of a survey - especially an online survey like this. You can have it as optional, I guess, but it has no relevance on the actual stats.

 

Making "name" mandatory doesn't do anything. You could easily come up with 20 fake names. Or 50. Or more if you went online to a "name generator".

 

The email address is even worse, since if that email got out of your hands (Say, your Google Drive account gets hacked, or you print out the results and misplace a page and someone finds it), it could cause a lot of damage to the person who owns it.

 

Anyway, I filled out the forum (With totally fake info of course)... All of that for one question, asking how many TV's you have in your house

 

Next time, keep it simple.
