board is an Sabertooth 990FX R2, noticed the issue when trying to enter the BIOS to manually boot to a certain SSD, F2/Del didn't work, had to use the direct button on the board, once there, neither my K95 on any of the legacy settings, or the old office grade membrane keyboards worked, any ideas what is going on??

Try different USB ports, or find someone else with another keyboard you can try.

Didn't try each board in diff ports, but did try the K95 in the rear ports where it has been, my old steelseries apex in the front and the old office board in the front too, nothing had any success.

I know a REALLY REALLY long time ago (like 10+ years ago) I HAD to use PS/2 connected accessories in the bios, do you have one of those laying around you can try?

I do not, however I never had an issue with the steelseries in the past, not used the bios for a while, the a couple days ago got the K95, not sure if they are linked to that, needed the bios today and couldn't get into it, then had to use the mouse after using the hard override button
