I drilled a hole in my Radiator

As the title says, my case JUST couldn't fit my radiator + fans because it was 5mm too thick. I removed the fan filter bracket (15mm thick) because I didn't need it as it was an exhaust and therefore had to drill holes into my case to line up the radiator  (EKWB Coolstream PE 360). On screwing the radiator into the case I accidentally managed to puncture one of the tubes inside the radiator (the hole in less than 1m x 1m, it's tiny but it leaks water nonetheless. I know I am screwed but is there anything I can do about it? I really don't want to wait a week for another delivery from EKWB to get a new radiator and my computer is currently lying in pieces on the table as I can't use it as I've put my GPU block and Motherboard Monoblock on already.

Other than taking it back out and soldering the hole to repair it there aren't many other permanent options for repairing it.

any local automotive radiator repair shop can fix it. As there all copper they will solider it and pressure test.

or you could crack an egg into the radiator bush mechanics style.

Would that not cost almost the same price as a new radiator? They're only $79 for a new one.

Give one a call.

I guess $20 its a very easy fix and losing one core won't make a difference to cooling.

I have had a few car radiators in the past year

If you have one or can get one from a friend just use a old Intel stock cooler and use that so your PC works until you can get a new water cooling unit. Other then that your pretty much out of luck.

I'm using a monoblock not a cpu waterblock so I have removed the "northbridge" heatsinks.

LOL, a hole of any size will produce a leak. If you want to try and fix it, I would try J-B Weld before taking it to a radiator shop (just make sure to clean the paint from the effected area). To use a flame and solder you would have to have a very small torch like what a jeweler uses I'm not sure a rad shop would have one that small. Please keep in mind too much heat would completely trash your radiator.

I was gonna try some jb weld on the rad I put a hole in. It's like a 3-4mm hole though. I was only concerned with its reaction to the liquids over time.

Should be OK, just give it 24 hrs to cure out.

I heard good things about the JB Weld too.  I never used it though.

Thanks Luc. Ended up forking over another $100 and buying a new radiator :( Spent about $1000 so far.
