what is the best cpu under $300 for streaming

hey, I want to upgrade my current Acer desktop that has an i5 6400 but this is not a streaming processor. My friend has a AMD fx 8350 and am thinking of using that processor and would like to know what you all think

I'd say get a i5 6600k or 7600k and a z170/z270 motherboard to pair with it.  Both streaming and gaming monsters.

isnt the i5 6700k/7600k 230 usd?

7600K. I'd save for a 6700/7700(K) as the 8 threads will help you a LOT

you could even run a 6700 - it still has the same cores and threads as it's k sku counter part - just not overclockable

You can pick up used/new 6700K's for under 300.

They would go 260-300 from where i'd seen.
