Hi there.

I recently built my own system (https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/fiddleplayer01/saved/TzWMnQ) and my internal HDD ( Western Digital Blue 1TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal) isn't being recognised. I'm quite sure that the data and power cables are attached correctly, but it only recognises my backup drive (WD Elements) and the ssd (Samsung EVO). Could someone please help me fix this?xD

Thanks,

Armaan

Reboot the system into the BIOS and check to see if it is detected by the system first.

Thanks. I will do that, just needed some confirmation before RMA'ing it.

did you initialize the disk?  Right click the windows (edit: START) icon and go up to disk management. It should prompt you to initialize the disk and format.  Then the disk will show in device manager

He said it wasn't detectable by the BIOS. Windows doesn't affect that does it?

I'm not certain but it's definitely worth a few clicks to find out :P  I kinda think that it does not show up in bios until initialized but I could totally be wrong

Thanks for the reply. It isn't being detected by Disk Management. Should I RMA it?

Yeah, I'd try their support and try everything one more time with them and hopefully they'll RMA for you if it's unsuccessful
