Hey,

I am running an Athlon 4400+ and a gtx 1050 ti in a rig that I want to be fully passively cooled at some point. The Athlon has a tdp of 95W I believe and the GTX draws 75W at most as we all know. I saw that some newer PSUs turn off their cooling fan completely if load is low enough. Having an estimated 170W draw at load (lets say 200W for some headroom) I am now looking for a PSU that does just that: Turn off it's fan up to this load.

Thanks in advance!

Any EVGA PSU with the "ECO" mode switch will do that for you.

Also, doesn't your CPU bottleneck the hell out of your GPU?

Thanks! The 1050 is just for folding, it's just an office pc :)

The Seasonic Platinum Fanless 400 watts is great, I used the 520 watt version.

But as the quality is very high it is also a bit expensive.

Mineral oil and 40 kg aluminium heat sinks are a perfect combination: 73 cores and a Titan X, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Oil
