Hello, I have an ubuntu 22.04 home server and i got a subscription PIA, I have set the VPN up on my phone, two laptops and on the server with OpenVPN, my issue is that the server is not accepting incoming connection from outside of local network anymore, is this something I have to live with?

I would be ok with at least being able to connect to the server from the devices using the same PIA VPN account.

If you want to use a VPN like that, then you will need to live with that.

As far as I'm aware, that's not how VPNs like PIA work.  What are you trying to accomplish with the VPN?

Thank you very much for the reply! Well, i don't want my internet provider knowing what sites i visit or be able to track my general activity.

So is the problem that you need to access your home server but can't because all traffic is routed though PIA?

If so, you might want to look into tailscale wtih mullvad. It's not PIA but it lets you access your other computers connected to your tailnet while having all remote connections be routed though mullvad's no log servers.
