Voltage for i7 6800k 4.6ghz?

Right now my 6800k is at 4.5ghz @1.4v and I was wondering what voltage I would need to overclock it further

Uhhh.. don't? 4.5Ghz is enough for anything on a 6-core processor. You'll just have a minefield of instability pushing it further, and your current OC is enough.

idk

1.4v is pushing it, would back down to 4.5 at 1.375

It's a standard OC, I've seen 4.5@1.375v as a rare OC, and that's it.

idk

Wait, but my temps are only at 56 degrees Celsius at load? Should I just leave it there?

the 6800k doesn't oc much as a 5820k, a 5820k usually oc at 4.8 in most chips mine can go up to 4.9ghz probably 5ghz max, i have tested is 4.9 ghz. for a 6800k good oc is 4.5 to 4.6 ghz for a stable performance just remember it has 6 cores and 12 thread.

  • 1 month later...

I just picked up a 6800k and was able to get 4.6 stable at 1.44v if you really want 4.6 and have the cooling to push it thats where id start and work your way down, i havent found the lowest stable voltage for 4.6 yet tho ive only done stability tests on 1.44 so far
