Static IP adress v.s Non-static IP

I've been considering my privacy online and thought about using a vpn more often, but what would if my originating ip was static? what would that do?

A static IP just means you can't change your IP without calling your ISP. A dynamic IP changes your IP every few days/whenever you reboot your router

It makes no difference to the VPN use, you would still appear as if from that country/locale and be somewhat protected from snoopers.

A static IP is one that doesn't change and something you pay for 95% of the time, to get it to change you generally do more than just call your ISP since it's much more complicated than that. I have a dynamic IP but it's bound to my MAC address so it never changes even if I power off the modem for several days. It all depends on the ISP and region will depend on how they implement it.
