Need help for my first build :3 1000-1200$ to spend

Deadran

Hello ^^

So yeah as the title implies I'm going to build my very first pc! :D Yayaya

Anyways, so what I want is what anyother pc gamer wants. Great performance and high fps in all the new graphically demanding games. Though this is a budget build I'm hoping on some really good performance in games. I have axcess to a 120hz monitor and a razer taipan mouse and a microsoft x4 sidewinder, I think that's the name of it :S

So yeah, any help will... well... help me :P I got sent here by some guy on youtube answering a comment I made on Linus latest video.

Thank you.

1 More thing, I would love it to be able to play future games like Witcher 3 and Star Citizen ^^

make a pc part picker list and no need for high speed memory, also you can not fit that into the budget

Don't get the RM. It uses "meh" components. SeaSonic G series would be better.

It all depends if you want the biggest chassi of all time and the fanciest motherboard out there or the biggest SSD , if you choose a ''small'' 120-256GB SSD as a boot and storage drive cause believe me you DON'T need more then that unless you have one yotta pictures.

please do research before you recommend something to someone.... 16 gigs at 2133MHz is totaly overkill and wont give you any better FPS, never SLI lower end cards....

i have it and it's by far a excellent PSU and if thats a meh product then i'll guess you don't know who Corsair is? It got all black, flat cables, does the SeaSonic got that?

well if he don't uses all the 16 GB of RAM then he could make it to a RAM disk, a SSD on the RAM-memory. It's faster then a PCI-E SSD and if he does want a RAM-Disk then the extra speed does make a big change

I don't mean the features. Corsair has feature rich products. I mean the capacitors. They use CapXxon caps which aren't great.

sorry to attack you but i dont think the OP has any idea what a RAMDISK is or how to set it up and such, no offence OP. ramdisk are mostly for video editing and photo editing...

Instead of cheaping out on the case and PSU I've chosen something that can actually last you 5 years+. (I've chosen a white case , you can replace this with the black version if you so desire.)

this is a good build, 750 watts gold PSU is good for SLI later on, one of the best cases for the money,

Corsair RM 750w

Dual 760 in SLI or one 780

is a good start

Is an awful start, awful PSU, 16 gigs of ram when he could use 8 which would be fine, and it's clocked at 2133mhz.. AND you're suggesting to SLI a lower end card.

i have it and it's by far a excellent PSU and if thats a meh product then i'll guess you don't know who Corsair is? It got all black, flat cables, does the SeaSonic got that?

So because Seasonic doesnt have flat black cabes, it doesn't make the PSU amazing? Please, you have no idea what you're talking about, be quiet. OP, don't listen to this guy, he doesn't know anything about building a good PC.

Yes , however if the topicstarter has like 20 more bucks to spend , i Highly reccomend going with a Corsair RM 750 PSU , this PSU is one of the best silence optimized PSU.  ( Fan doesn't spin untill 50% if the load is reached i believe and it's SLI ready . Also has 5 year warranty i believe.)

well he did want to play star citizen then 16 GB is to prefer AND also that kingston is pretty cheap and there isn't much extra cost between 1600MHz and 2133MHz, right? flat cables make him able to choose a nice-looking but cheap-crapy chassi and still have nice cable management,AND the fan is SUPER QUIET! he never said i don't want SLI cards, if he is one of those ( like my self ) that want a nice-looking build and not only performance then SLI cards is the best thing ever AND I said OR 780 so please don't say that i don't know hardware stuff when you haven't thought why i said what i said.

Omg so many replies, I've been going through all of your rig examples and I just love how passionate you guys are about it ^^
I have not made up my mind though, so if you so desire then keep the rigs coming. I do not think I need any more than 8 gb's of ram. @DanielTech
The Star Citizen bit was just an example of the games I'm planning to play in the future. It doesn't mean that I want the build to be based around that game. :)
I do want windows 8 in my pc though, I've been checking all about the interwebs and it seems like it actually is better for example BF4.

Again I want to thank you all for replying so quick ^.^

i thing about windows 8... if you do decide to buy windows 8 and then upgrade to windows 8.1 the just a thing consider is that many, many have been having problems on upgrading and even my dad have ( on normal desktops too ) and the problem to me seems that it just refuse to download ( i haven't tried yet downloading but as i said my dad did on his desktop ) so you might want to consider just buying windows 8.1 right of the shelf if it just cost a buck or two more.

You'll be fine with 8 GB . Be sure to check out my build. One thing , since we know that Star Citizen is going to get mantle support ( a feature that will be boosting the performance by alot ) you must go with an AMD card. The R9 290X is an aweome option , one problem however there isn't a non-stock cooler card yet. If asus or msi etc. are going to bring out there 290X non-refference cards of course go with those. So the best thing you can do is buy all the parts except for the GPU and buy the GPU when non-stock 290X comes out.
