1. Budget & Location
USA, San Diego.

Budget is about $3000 USD at most

2. Aim

Photo/Video Editing, Gaming, Multi-tasking,  Basic Tasks, Streams

3. Monitors
Ideally looking to run two 1080p-1440p monitors, currently running 1 1080p monitor

4. Peripherals
Already have all I need, may upgrade mouse, keyboard and I'm thinking of upgrading to a nicer mouse (I will do this later on)

5. Why are you upgrading?
I currently have a pre-built Best Buy desktop PC that will not be capable of doing any tasks I would like to begin doing, so I believe I need an upgrade that I can use for a long time

My PC Build Ideas(Please tell me if there are better ideas for these):

1). Lower price point: $2700 USD

1 graphics card, nice case, custom cable sleeves, Elgato hd60 pro

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GfrP9W

2). Higher price point: $2965 USD

2-Way SLI GPU cards, nice case, custom cable sleeves, Elgato hd60 pro

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/df9X3F

PS- The price truthfully doesn't bother me to much, I just can't go over a $3000 price point and I would like to take advantage of that budget to it's fullest

This hurts my eyes to read as a dark theme user. With that said, that's a huge jump from Best Buy prebuilt..do you even NEED this power or is it mostly for showing off? A lot is wasted into the AIO cooler and meme ram--can also get Windows elsewhere for less.

I most likely don't need that high of wattage but I post this so I could get tips :D

what wattage would you recommend? (I went high because I plan on doing over clocking and I don't know how much extra power it needs)

Don't know where else to get a non-pirated edition of Windows

the ram is mostly for over kill, looks, and showing off if I'm being honest

Also, what is an AIO cooler? (My case fans?)

PS- I am new to the whole DIY PC world and how do I change the way you read this as a "dark theme user"

AIO = all in one. AIO is reffering to those all in one liquid coolers. They look nice, but in same cases you can get by with tower coolers without much performance difference for less money. Depends on how much you intend to overclock and what your case can support. For example, I use an overclocked 6700k at 4.4Ghz on my personal rig and it's idling right now around 25c and my cooler was under $35 dollars.

If you want show-off RAM, I'd get these instead, :P

As for power supply. A good 500 watt unit is all you need for single high-end GPU set-ups. If you want SLI, go to the 750w range. The 1KW and higher power supplies should only be used for triple SLI type setups.

*Your text is fine now. It was just dark grey on dark grey on this forum only in the initial post. All is well now haha.
