MSI GL62M vs Lenovo Ideapad Y700

I need a more bulky laptop for my 3D work (eg Unreal) it would also be nice to run some more up to date titles at a decent fps.

specs:

MSI GL62M 7RD-204NL                      Lenovo Ideapad Y700
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GTX 1050                                             GTX 960M
Intel core I7 7700HQ                            Intel core I7 6700HQ
1000GB                                                1000GB (128GB SSD)
8GB ram                                               8GB ram
15,6 Inch                                              17,3 Inch

which would be a better option?

Also how can MSI sell a laptop with a gtx 1050 at a price point where all competitors only have a 950 - 970M?

How big is the difference between these two really in terms of benchmarks?

MSI will preform worse in terms of gpu power.. 970M will outpreform it in many cases. At least find something with 1050ti, if game preformance is important to you.

I sadly can't afford getting it with an SSD or 1050ti. Thank you for the feedback either way.

Also after you mentioned it I noticed my mistake I had it set at 970m instead of the 960 it is, sorry.
