If you have been to the torrent sharing website ThePirateBay to get the newest version of Ubuntu or perhaps discover a new indie artist; and in the process discovered a new artist on their frontpage; well this may be a thing of the past. TPB has stopped displaying artists on their front page since quite a while now since shifting that to a new platform, the PromoBay, which will now support artists as well as activists, charities and startups.

 

My take:

This is awesome! TPB has a wide reach and this is a great way to get people to know about news which will impact them in a big way.
