I'm not a fan of prime95 though, it stresses modern CPUs far more than anything else...

I'm not huge on it either, but it doesn't cause any more or less crashes than Aida64. I have had an pc last 2 hours on prime 95 and fail withen seconds of Aida 64.

I have a fx-6300 which is currently at 1.37v and 4.3Ghz. It is perfectly stable under 8 hours of aida64 stressing cpu and fpu but errors within minutes under prime95 small ffts. So can I call it stable and discount prime95?

Your CPU is either stable or it isn't. You could ignore the Prime95 results. But then if you encounter instability or glitches in a few months, you might not even think about your OC as a problem, since you thought it was "stable".

I would personally scale back your OC slightly (or boost voltage more) and get the CPU to pass with Prime95 too.
