No real point in a B250 motherboard with a skylake CPU

Intel's stock cooler is fine for a locked i5

That PSU is a real meh, I mean it's not the worst quality ever but I'm sure you can get something like a Corsair CX450M or a Seasonic S12II for similar monies

Ah yes, overclocking with a locked CPU, sounds like that's totally gonna happen :D

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

not a k series or a chipset you can overclock on, so you won't be able to overclock it much, if at al so it should be fine

I've used that PSU in my 'Recommended AU' builds in my signature - check em out.

It's pretty much a Seasonic unit from what I've heard. Tier 3.

idk

All XFX PSUs (except the XT line) are designed and manufactured by seasonic where all XFX does is slap a new casing and labels on them :)

The XT line is designed by SS but outsourced thus they're shitty :/

It's Tier 3 on Bronze and Tier 2 on Gold, so it's not a bad PSU by any means. I'm pretty sure SeaSonic was like 'we need a new PSU for XFX. fuck it, we'll outsource it to some chinese student team and see what they come back with'

idk

More like:

XFX "Seasonic, we need something that competes against corsair's CX and EVGA's 80+ white PSUs"

Seasonic "How about this, we design it and then outsource it so we can use real shitty parts so it's dirt cheap while it doesn't ruin our name"

XFX "Sounds like a plan"

Indeed, considering the price of the TS PSUs (cheaper than XTs sometimes in the UK), they're an absolute steal with it's Rubycon 105C rated caps :P

They don't sell G2 or GS, pretty much every good EVGA PSU isn't sold here (we get 600B and NEX, woo) so the XFX PSUs and some Corsair units (overpriced af)  are all we got that's good for high end machines

idk
