CPU temps

So I'm just a little bit worried at this point. My cpu (i7 6700k) sits idle with my cryorig r1 ultimate at 20C and never really goes over 50C while gaming, but when I do my weekly Malwarebytes (on my C: drive(my ssd)) my cpu temps shoot up into the 70-85C (according to CPU temps). Now I know it scans through 300k files in around 1 minute (so obviously under load) but is this safe? Is there a way for me to lower the temps while doing this even if it takes the scan to 2 minutes+

that is strange though b/c when i do my malware, i only peaked at 35C but my room is 62F, malwarebytes should not take that much CPU power

^Agreed, it seems fishy that it would get that hot. However even though that is high, that is okay. If you ever get a blue screen of death then you'll definitely know something is wrong. I also have an i7-6700k and the hottest I have gotten it was 69 degreec C while running it on Aida64 for 4 hours. This done on the Cooler Master MasterLiquid Pro 240. Are you overclocking the CPU? If so what frequency and voltage are you at? And what kind of heat sink are you using?
