This is what I've picked out for now. I built my first computer using a barebones kit, so this is my first step into building it from the ground up so to speak.

My budget was around $1000 from the start, and I really wanted the 6700k but it just wasn't going to happen if I also wanted the Sapphire version of the RX 480 (which I really do love the look and feel of it). I also wanted a water cooler (even if just an aio), but the 212 performance for the price was perfect for the budget.

Honestly, I am nowhere near ready to buy this build, I'm kinda broke actually. But I'm saving up, and will be buying later this year.

Of course, by that time, Ryzen will be out and I might have to totally reconsider my CPU/Motherboard which will be kind of fun I think.

Anyway, let me know what you guys think. I'll post changes as they come along because I have nothing better to do.

PSU Tier List - I keep forgetting where this is so I'm going to leave it here.

Well, generally I would tell you that if you're going to buy in 6 months, you should ask in 6 months. But I'll comment on this build anyway.

The Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is actually not a good value. It's really mediocre performance. The following two are a lot better: Cryorig H7, Deepcool Gammaxx 400.

If this is just for games, you can definitely afford to get just 8GB RAM. Add 8 more later if you need.

The BPX SSD is a fast NVMe drive, but it's also expensive. I would change it to a (bigger) SATA solution as the performance difference is not noticeable.

Hope it helped, still you should ask once you're ready to build :)

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

First world problems with too well known syndrome :/

Everyone just notes the 212 evo as the go to cooler for everything...

And volta...

For the actual build, there's nothing wrong with it except the case is bugging me for some reason...IDK why tho..

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Nawh, I don't think so...maybe it's because I've so accustom to the "normal" designs for bigger manufacturers :P

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Either way, I'd buy the SSD later.

I only replaced the motherboard with an mATX one, and changed the case to an mATX one as well, which is pretty nice and costs 40$ less.

Also, as @Energycore said, there are better coolers for the price now, so, I put the Cryorig H7.

BTW, I'm also waiting for Zen to come out to get rid of my Athlon. :|

Yeah, I realize It's way too early to be asking advice on stuff, but I like to plan ahead (really far ahead) and nobody I hang out with is a computer geek like me. So either I get new friends or I annoy people online lol.

As for the case, I really wanted something different from the traditional case setups. All the regular ones just seemed soooo boring and didn't appeal to me. I'm weird, and I'd like my computer to reflect that. I was also looking at the Inwin 707 (which isn't necessarily a weird looking case, but has some weird stuff going on inside), and the Thermaltake Core p3.

Thanks for the advice guys, even if it is way too far in advance.
